The term is often found in apartment listings, where it means that there is a washer and dryer available in the building or complex, but not necessarily in the apartment unit. It does not say anything about what it costs to do the laundry or whether it is safe to leave your laundry in the washer or dryer.

TOPIC 3: HANDLE LOST AND FOUND PROCEDURES

how to handle it the guest have lost their stuff at hotel and how to handle if housekeeper found something at guest room already check out?

Lost and found items should be stores in a secure area. In large hotels, linen clerk will handle lost and found items while in smaller hotels the task may be delegated to executive housekeeper or front office personnel. When room attendant finds an item left behind by a guest, he or she should immediately turn it over to the Lost and Found. Next, item should be tagged, logged and secure after they have been turned over to the Lost and Found. A log should be used to record date, time, where the items was recovered and by whom. There must be a space to record the owner's name if the items recovered by its owner. All lost and found items should be kept for 90 days. After that it is up to the management to decide on how to dispose the items properly and normally the items will be given to the person who found it or donated for charity.
